Co-Regulation Sessions

There's a lot of talk these days about "regulating your nervous system," and too often the conversation treats nervous system regulation as something you undertake on your own, with great discipline, and by tuning out the rest of the world.

But the truth is, our nervous systems are inextricably connected to the world around us--they are not self-contained units--and approaches that emphasize regulation via self-soothing may leave behind the importance of co-regulation. Learning to co-regulate with the humans around us and with the more-than-human world can be a source of calm, rejuvenation, rest, and, crucially, remembering.

Every Wednesday evening in July, from 7:00-8:00 pm CST, I'll be hosting a Co-Regulation Session via Zoom. Each session will introduce some of the fascinating science on co-regulation and feature a series of practices--with a focus on nature-based mindfulness, expressive writing, and relational mindfulness--designed to help you notice the co-regulation allies that are all around you and gently bring the mutually beneficial gift of your attention into all of your relationships.

Register here for one or more sessions. Each week will be different! Join for a single session, or every Wednesday in July. Suggested donation is $20 per session, but pay what you can. (Venmo info and the link to join will be shared after you register.)
